National Peanut Butter Cookie Day Is June 12 - A Simple 5 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe

I'll be celebrating by making this recipe from Kraft:

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

1 egg

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup chopped cocktail peanuts

1 tsp. vanilla

*Optional add in 1/4 to 1/2 cup chocolate chips- yum!

Directions:

  • Heat oven to 350°F

  • Beat egg in bowl until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well

  • Shape into 1 inch and place 2 inches apart on a baking sheet. Flatten in a criscross pattern with tines of fork

  • Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.

  • Cool on baking sheet for 1 min, move cookies to a wire rack and cool completely (if you can wait that long! )

Enjoy!

Cookies are one of my favorite sweets to eat. I love them all! This recipe is so simple there is no excuse for not making some. You can leave out the cocktail peanuts in this recipe and just use crunchy peanut butter or keep it smooth by using regular peanut butter. Either way this is a no fail recipe.

Are you planning on making some peanut butter cookies Tuesday? If so, I would love to know some of your favorite peanut butter recipes too! Please add links or comments below or join the conversation with Naturally Frugal Homemaker on facebook. Maybe your recipe will become my new favorite!
